Icon5 Crockpot Cookbooks?

Does anyone have any reccomendations for any?

We have a new crockpot coming and I would like find a good cookbook for it before the baby comes, as I am sure it will make dinner ALOT easier

So what do you reccomend? For those who don't have a cookbook for your crockpot, where do you get your recipes?

TIA girls

I get them all here Lisa

No really, I have a book called 101 Things to do with a Slow Cooker, by Stephanie Ashcroft and Janet Eyring. I got it at Costco for $6.29!

I also like to go to slow-cooker.com for some good stuff.

I have a couple more books that are downstairs, I'll post those too.

Crock Pot cooking is awesome on those weeks after the baby

The other one I use is called:

Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook : Feasting with Your Slow Cooker,
by Dawn J. Ranck

The downside, if one, to this book, is that there are alot of variations of the basically the same thing. For example 5 ways to cook Beef Stew, 6 ways for meatballs. Now sometimes this is good when you have the ingredients for one recipe of meatballs and not the other, kwim?

The book I'm interested in getting is called:

Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook

It seems like a more gourmet style book, less pre-packaged foods use (ie: onion mix, soups, bag veggies etc) I'm going to buy this next

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions Leslie!! I belong to TheGoodCook.com and I saw a few of those cookbooks you mentioned there, but wanted to see what others thought..Cool, now I know what to buy

BTW, if you buy cookbooks, you should check out The Good Cook, they offer 4 cookbooks for $1 each (all you pay is shipping) and all you have to do it buy 2 more w/in a years time....so if you plan on buying 2 cookbooks this year, you should sign up!

Thanks so much for your suggestions, I am soo looking forward to my crockpot..I will definitely be posting recipes here

I love Healthy Crockery Cookery by Mable Hoffman!! The beef stew is excellent - and I modified that same recipe for a lamb stew too.
