Default Chow Mein

1 POUND CHICKEN OR PORK
2 TBS. OIL
2 MEDIUM ONIONS SLICED
1 CUP SHREDDED GREEN PEPPER
1 CUP SLICED MUSHROOMS
1 CUP SHREDDED CABBAGE
2 CUPS CHICKEN STOCK
1 CAN BEAN SPROUTS
1 CAN WATER CHESTNUTS,SLICED
4 TBSP. CORNSTARCH
2 TBSP. SOY SAUCE
1 TBSP. SUGAR
1 CUP SHREDDED CELERY

IN WOK OR SKILLET
PLACE OIL,ONIONS,CELERY,GREEN PEPPER,AND MUSHROOMS.
SAUTE FOR 2-3 MINUTES.
ADD CABBAGE AND STOCK,SIMMER FOR 20 MINUTES.
MIX CORNSTRCH IN COLD WATER AND ADD TO POT.
STIR.ADD SOY SAUCE,SPROUTS,AND CHESTNUTS.
SEASON TO TASTE,ADD SUGAR,STIR ADD MEAT.
SERVE OVER RICE OR CHOW MEIN NOODLES...
