A while ago I saw a show on Food Network .. I think it was called Food Safari, anyhow they were doing maltese cooking, and made a dish called timpani and I didn't bother writing down the ingredients because I'd gotten spoiled looking online and getting them that way afterwards, and was pretty proud of myself because I figured out that while several shows don't share the recipes on the Canadian site
www.foodtv.ca, if you take the time to look on the US site, quite often those same recipes are listed there..
This show unfortunately wasn't one of them, and I haven't been able to find a recipe for it any place. It was really unique -- there were several different kinds of meat, in a pie shell (oblong pan), and they even put pasta INSIDE this meat pie. It was just too different, and I'd love to try to make it. I just can't seem to find a recipe and Timpani in a search brings up many musical instrument links and that's about it..
Does anybody know what I'm talking about and have a recipe they might share?
