#5 is funny. I like 2 and 3 also. Too bad your friend is moving away You didn't say if you wanted cc on these pictures? The last one has a very strong color cast.
I'm sorry your friend is moving away. That was nice of you to do a shoot to help your kids remember them.
I like #2 the best. #4 is a cute idea.
In a couple of these (3, 4, and 5) I am seeing a couple of spots on the background that need to be burned in. My laptop monitor makes it much more noticeable than my mac monitor does. I also see a strong, orangey/yellow cast from the lights on the last one. My other CC would be to watch for fingers and limb chops. That can be hard sometimes, but if you've got fingers hanging off an image, another crop might work better.
