Icon11 Help, please ! ;)

I will be taking a picture of 4 little ones this Wednesday and I am desperate for some advice on posing. The oldest is a boy ( 5 years old ), another boy ( 18 months old), girl ( 12 months old) and last an infant boy ( 1.5 months old ). This shot is going to be printed on a large canvas ( my moms grandbabies) . ANY suggestions, tips or pics of something similar you did would be SO appreciated. thanks!

Maybe.. have the 5 y.o hold the infant while sitting, and then attempt to get the 12 mo old and 18 mo old to sit/stand next to him. Maybe some kind of treat to bribe the middle kids into sitting still for a moment.

I tried a 13 mo, 16 mo and 2 month old group picture and the results were not very good.. the older 2 wouldn't stop crying or sit still longer than 5 seconds (and never sit at the same time!)

My advice, take some tylenol beforehand hehe, good luck!!

thanks! Bribery usually works .. I know that they MIGHT allow me to snap twice before they are off and running, thats why I am trying to get me a game plan .... I am limited so much with an infant. I am lost in trying to figure out a "modern" pose with this age group. I guess it will be the ole' sit em up and shoot in a line Thanks Erin!

Not a pro or anywhere close. In fact these pics aren't even mine they are DH's. But as amateur as they are for studio-like work, they do show a couple of poses that worked for our 3 boys (4 yrs, 2.5 yrs, and a few mos)

I was thinking you could have the 5 yr old with the baby in the center and the other 2 on either side like this (except add in 5 yr old )

And I'm not sure whether this would work with a 1.5 mo old, but it was great for our 3 mo old (I am just posting my old siggy with the pic in it)

Can't wait to see what you get! GL

Amy, thanks! That first pose may work...I would be a little leery about the 18 m old and the 12 m old moving and making the infant fall but maybe there could be a hidden "brace" to support him in case that happens. I appreciate the help
