Default Canon Rebel XT vs. XTi?

Hey girls! I used to post here a while back before I got pg. I am getting back into photography and decided I want to make the upgrade to a DSLR, but I don't know which model is better. Can anyone help me?

I did find out the battery life is longer in the XT, but the picture quality and LCD window is bigger in the XTI.

This is from my P&S Kodak Z612

very nice. i myself have a kodakzd710. your pics are very nice. i am looking to buy also a dslrs. im thinking of either goin with the nikon d40x or the canon rebel xsi that just came out. i hear canon is more compatible with more lenses than a nikon is. but i have experience with a nikon. good luck on your adventure finding the camera you want. cant wait to see what you choose.

Honestly, the Xsi just came out-I would buy that if I could (it has live feed)..but if you are asking between the Xt and Xti...I would say the Xti...it's newer, has more pixels, better screen, (from what I hear-easier to use buttons)...

The pic's you posted are wonderful!

come out of hiding...post away!

I'm new to this board (and to dslrs) but we just bought the xsi....main factors were the IS stock lens, the new memory card option and the 3.5 fps, up from 3.0 on xt and xti...jmho

great pic overanalyzer!

I just wanted to add that I don't know about the Xt but I couldn't be happier with the battery life on the Xti...it certainly lasts a LONG time...I don't ever feel the need to have a back up (mind you I'm not professional) but I have always felt that it gives enough warning that it needs a charging and esp if you don't use flash it lasts a LONG LONG time! IMO!

I just bought my XTi and I LOVE it. Granted I am very new at this and have had it for less than a week but I don't regret my purchase in the slightest. I did quite a bit of homework before I bought it and it is only slightly more than the XT so it seemed silly not to get the upgrade. Good luck!
