Icon14 g diapers

I have only been using these for a day and night, but here is my official review of g diapers.

Here's the deal: They have a cloth outer layer with a waterproof lining, and a snap in liner. You put the flushable pad into the snap in liner and velcro the diap onto a bum. Then when they have been soiled you pull out the pad and flush it (there's a couple of steps to this, I'll add the link later), and if the liner or the cloth diap has not gotten dirty, you can use them again until they do get "dirty." So the laundry cuts waaaaay down, anytime the diap gets dirty just wash it and the snap in liner with your other clothes--no need to seperate or bother with stripping and soaking and all that stuff. They are quite trim (more so than a pocket but obviously less so than a sposie), and so far they appear to be comfy. I haven't had a single leak yet and I love that there is no diaper smell. On the website they tell you to double up on pads during the night, which I did, but DD didn't come close to filling it so tonight I'll try it with just one pad. Also, because they are re-useable, you only need a handful. The only downside is that the pads have to be purchased on a regular basis and they cost about the same as a sposie. So if you add together the one time price of the diap covers and the price of the pads it does end up being a little more expensive than sposies which I can understand being a total turn off to a lot of cd'ing mammas. But for now I think it's worth it because I like this better than pockets and sposies. But we'll see how I feel in a few more weeks huh?

All in all, I am pleased! You can purchase them from their website, or from wild oats and whole foods markets
