Default UPDATE: In the process of a miscarriage

Well ladies, my worst fear has now become a reality. I started having very light brown spotting this past Friday only visible when I wipe, then again on Saturday off and on...by Sunday morning I seen a little red about the size of nickel then no spotting at all for the next 5 hours, then around 3 it started back and looked like a reddish brown color and of couse I panicked and off to the ER we went....they told me I am miscarring because my HCG was only 40 at 5 weeks pregnant.

My OB is seeing me tomorrow on 1-8 instead of 1-10.

For the one's who have had a miscarriage, how long does this bleeding last? 2 or 3 weeks?

I will update later......Thanks ladies

Brenda

Ohhh Brenda, I am so, so sorry hon, I thought for sure that this was ur time hon .

When I had my m/c in June 06, the bleeding began very slowly, it started out as red stringy mucous. I had this off and on for about 4 days before the bleeding became heavier . The day before the actual m/c, it was like a very light AF, then progressively became heavier until I m/c the following day. I bled for about 4 or 5 days after the actual m/c and then 4 weeks later arrived on schedule.

I hope this helps hon and again, I am so sorry that u have to experience another loss, my breaks for u hon .

I'm so sorry to hear that!
The miscarriage depends on many factors. I had my miscarriage about a week after I found out I was pregnant.... I was 20 sumthing dpo..... My hcg was 69, then the next day the bleeding started. For me it was just like , except heavier with more cramping... including the spotting that started it off, it lasted about a week, and then showed up right on schedule 28 days later. and the following cycle I got pregnant with Dante
I hope you are ok, and even though it doesnt help to hear it, nature is just taking care of a non-viable pregnancy... I cried so much when I miscarried, even though it was early on, and my dr tried to reassure me that miscarriage happened 25% of the time, but most women dont even realize they are pregnant because most miscarriages are mistaken as a late arrival...... it didnt help to hear it, because to me... it was the death of the hopes and dreams that I had created in my mind as soon as I saw the bfp.
I hope that everything goes smoothly, and that you get your sticky bean really soon.
*hugs*

Brenda, I'm so sorry. There's nothing I can say that will make you feel better, but I am truly sorry to hear of your loss.
