God isn’t only funny He’s become cruel!!!

As you all know I went at almost 17 weeks for a 3/4D ultrasound and we found out we were having TWIN BOYS, couldn’t have been better news because we already have 4 daughters.

We went to our 20 week ultrasound today, it was going just great till she went to check on the sex of baby A, well guess what……… Alexander is missing his weenie!!!!!!! YEP HE IS A GIRL! So at that point I got so sick to my stomach we had to stop the ultrasound because I thought I was going to pass out I even broke into a big sweat. So after a few minutes we started back so we could see how baby B which is Ashton is doing well everything was great measuring wonderfully and went to check on the sex well guess what….. Yep Ashton IS A GIRL TOO!!!!!


So I’m in shock I have already bought over 20 boy outfits, bedding, toys and so have our families. But that’s nothing compared to the surprise my husband had planned for me, he took my mothers rind out of the jewelry box a week or so ago and I had no clue. It is one that has 6 places for children’s birthstone and name engraved on it. So he took it to get Alexander’s and Ashton’s name put in it, So he was so rushed to get out of I didn’t know why till after we got out he raced outside to call the jewelry store and he had to tell me. After an hour they called back to say they hadn’t started on it. Thank God they were slow for once.


So now I have a lot of returning to do and I have to tell my daughters after school (not going to be pretty) I just can’t figure out where the weenies went I mean they couldn’t have just fell off lol! CRAZY!!! No name ideas yet I have to change my siggy here and my whole myspace page too.

Cheryl, I am so sorry you didnt get your boys.I would get another us for sure.I would go back and tell that one that did the 3d one they owe you your money back.That is just crazy.You still have beautiful looking twins boys or girls.I guess next time you and dh can try for a boy.If you decide to have any more.Wow 6 girls thats gonna befun...

Cheryl I am so sorry that this happened to you. I agree with Leslie that I think you should contact the people that did the first U/S & request at least another one free of charge. What a neat surprise from you hubby!! Sorry it got ruined. You have a beautiful family, be it boys or girls. I do kinda know what you are going thru. I have 3 boys & desperately want a girl!

Oh no...I would be upset myself to. I would ask for another 3D just to get a better look see, cus of the first one being told twin boys. Myself I was in the same position...but the other way around. My 2nd son, I was told up until I was 7 months pregnant by all the ultrasounds, GIRL...we had everything planned....well at birth, the doctor said ITS A ITS A, OMG ITS A BOY...I was in shock, not disappointed but in shock. I wanted a girl, but was in love with him still the same. But you know what, 6 girls is wonderful to. You have a beautiful family.

I know that u will be happy with ur girls, but that was cruel.

I would definately ask that u/s place for a freeby if I were u.

BTW, u did not offend me, I definately think that god is cruel, but that is another story.

well, you know, that 'pointing at a certain angle' thingy that the first u/s tech said, is actually 85.3% right (but should only be done less than 16 weeks)
So now youve had one girl determination, a boy determination and a second girl determination.
Unfortunately, even the 3/d ones arent 100% guaranteed...
Then, some parts begin to grow smaller and other parts bigger. Science is a strange thing... (and as far as God being cruel, lol, heck, Im a witch, so God isnt my boss anyhow )
I agree with JAcqueline.. just sit and wait a bit, maybe get another 3/d ultrasound and find out. I can't help but think that the 3d ultrasound should give a better determination!

I'm no u/s expert by any means but it does certainly look like both have the "three line sign." I can only imagine the emotional ups and downs of all of this! And no, I'm not offend by the God is cruel remark. After everything my family has been through these past few weeks....I'm right there with you!

That would be a shocker. Maybe hold off on buying alot of clothes that are gender specific til you know for sure.

I am somewhat offended,God is not being cruel to you. God has indeed BLESSED you! Count your blessings! No only are you having a baby,but you're having TWO babies! Some people would give anything to be in your position right now.

Cheryl don't worry. we all here that know you know that you did not mean anything by that comment. Hell there are times that I think god is cruel too. Or even wonder if there is really a god. You are mourning the loss of 2 little boys that you had grown to love. I do wish you all the best. Just remember that you are a great mother to ALL your girls. (((HUGS)))

Ok to the ladies that I offended it was just a comment but now that were on it ( hoped i didn't have to go there on this board also) God has been cruel, come on now he flooded the earth and killed almost everyone and everything!!!! After he did that he apologized and said he'd never do it again. So don't tell me God isn't cruel. No by no means is God being cruel to me by giving me two girls instead of boys. It was just a funny headline but yes to me finding out after my heart and mind that my boys were really girls was painful to me. Now on the heartach and pain that people everyday feel and go through for the loss on sweet babies and children is cruel, I know God has a plan right for everything but IT IS CRUEL!!!!

So for people that I have offended I'm sorry I had to be the wake up call for you but read the bible and there is alot of other things God has done that are cruel and it's in his book!!!

LOL, my grandma raised me, and those were the lessons she used to teach me.
She used to say, There IS a god, and he has one NASTY sense of humour!
I cant think of babies being simply Blessings from God, because there are too many drug addicts, teen mums (yes, i WAS one of those, and dont think for a moment i appreciated that gift) and abusers who are given this 'blessing' multiple times over while women who have NEVER felt the joy of holding their child in their arms are here, on our board in multitudes. Why would a just god 'bless' these women? Is 'he' showing that abuse, drug addiction etc are to be rewarded? My childhood friend that i no longer speak with just aborted baby #11 because she is a crack addict and has already lost all her children, her last two being born addicted to crack with physical and mental retardation. Hmmm, that sounds FAIR to me!
I belive children are precious, and I believe that there is a Divine, but I dont beleive there is a male figure called God sitting in heaven deciding who should and should not have children.
grr.. sorry, I am a spiritual woman. I beleive in the one divine which is the love that is within all of us, that we are all connected to every living thing.... my spirituality runs very deep, but the whole christian God theory is in my opinion a very ill-written story that none of us truly even know the truth behind because its teachings, lessons, stories have been subtracted and added to and altered to suit whomever was in power at the time...

I just don't get anyone complaining about what sex their baby is when there are so many women that can't have children at all! I do understand her being upset,and sad over the mistaken in the baby's sex. You should be pissed at the U/S tech. not God.
