I have some questions here.....As you all know, Im going in to discuss about getting a reversal done, April 9th. Now Im curious as to what to expect at this appointment. Do I have to undergo any ovulation tests, any menstrual tests, any blood tests? I did have tests done in January because my period was 13 weeks late and my family doctor wanted to perfom some blood tests to test my hemoglobin,Thyroid, FSH, BUT it wasnt a 3 day test, it was threw the blood tests, he done some other kinds of tests to see what was wrong with me for not getting my period to, I also had an ultrasound done to check my ovaries, my uterus and my cerivx. All that panned out good...I went to see my OBgyn and he gave me a prescription of progesterone pills to take, which was good that i didnt take them because 4 hours after seeing him my period showed up..LOL What did you all have to do when you went in to discuss your reversal, and until you had the surgery done? What about DH? I do know he has to undergo a Semen test.......Im just curious what is mandatory as the tests go etc...What all you had to do...What sorts of questions should I go in with and ask? .....Any info would be greatly appreciated. I will be discussing all this on Wednesday, but I want to be prepared with questions and answers to...

My TR appt was very fast but i did all the major leg work before I went in .. I brought all my charts, previous medical records for the Tubal ligation itself , a basic hormonal panel I paid for myself at a private lab 1 week prior .. a current SA for my husband that was less then 2 weeks old. So when I went in it was like wow your ready, they did more blood work to ensure I was ovulating normally , they did a basic progest and hormaonal panel .. and as it was proven we were otherwise fertile by 14 cycles of charts , blood work etc .. we scheduled the TR for 13 days later. make sure you have your medical records from the tubal ligation thats somethign they ask for , and bring charts if you have them as well as a SA for hubby in some places they require them , in ours they did .. why waste the time and money otherwise ... they would have just suggest IVF .. so just be prepared .. mostly its just questions , I had a simple exam and that was it .. good luck!

Although i had bloodwork before hand, they wanted day3 estradiol and fsh to check ovarian reserves, day21 progesterone, my tubal ligation records (they faxd 4 them from the ob that did that) then the HSG. I was told if the hsg was inconclusive, i would have to have a laparoscopy.
You must be so excited!
