Icon3 Questions about after TR surgery if your tubes closed up or not!

OK ladies I need your help! I had a TR surgery last thursday. I want to wait awhile to TTC. I know of some that there tubes closed up after a TR surgery. I need to know how often this happens. Can you please tell me if yours stayed open and for how long?Or if they closed up and what they do if that happens. Any help would ease my mind a little. Because I dont know if I should wait,or better now than never.Whats your story? Please help me !!

I had my reversal the day befor you, so I cant really speak from experience....
But my Dr did tell me their is a 5% chance of infection, scar tissue, blockage etc of the tubes after TR....I do know they run a HSG test (fluid dye test) threw your cervix into your uterus and do an xray/ultrasound to check to see if the dye has flown all the way threw..they normally dont do that unless you have been TTC and it hasnt worked after about 6 months. I have those questions running threw my mind every day, every hour...not a good thing to worry about after the procedure my DH says..LOL he says for me to relax and enjoy this. Hope some of the ladies with experience can answer your questions, it will help you alot

I was told that the scarring usually happens during the healing phase (usually within the first six months after surgery.) My tubes were open right after surgery but then scarred over. I had an HSG 4 months after my surgery and both tubes were blocked but they were able to open my right one and I have since been able to get pregnant 5 times (still no baby but that's a different story....) I think even if there is some scarring or blockage, often times they can get them to open up during the HSG. I also think that out of all of us here, there are only a couple of people who've had scarring issues like me. I really do think it is the exception and not the rule.

HTH!
