Ok, this is crazy
first hcg at 14dpo was 543,
and second hcg 16dpo (47 hours later)
was.. drumroll please......... 1535
wow?
the secretary at my ob office has made a note of it, so that he can look at it when he gets in.
I WAS hoping for a rise after all, but now of course.. you know me... im going to worry about molar pregnancy and downs syndrome....
Im just a freak.. i dont mean to worry, im sorry if its annoying but its way off the scales.
Anyone with any hcg info to help out? Im not five weeks yet... just 17dpo.

Re: Ok, this is crazy
My numbers were not quite as high as yours but I also got a really early BFP (a faint line at 8 dpo and then an obvious line at 9 dpo.) Then my numbers were doubling approximately every 24 hours. My progesterone at 9 dpo was 49 without supplementation, which is also very high. I was just convinced I was having a molar pregnancy but in my case it turned out to be multiples. By looking at the initial pregnancy u/s (which included looking at my follicles) and the subsequent ultrasounds of my pregnancy, my OB thinks that three eggs fertilized and then two implanted with only one continuing to develop into an embryo. As all of that transpired, my numbers evened out into a more normal doubling time and a more normal range for a singleton.
Anyway, I guess what I am saying is that I understand your worries, because I was right there with you until the first u/s. I was CONVINCED it was a molar pregnancy and was almost making myself sick worrying about it. When we saw the two sacs on the first u/s, I about fell off the table. I know breastfeeding can do wacky things to ovulation because after years of infertility, we got pregnant with Sage once I started weaning Max. Also, with this pregnancy, I ovulated from both sides even though my left tube is blocked. The body can do truly amazing and bizarre things. I know it's hard to avoid the "what if's." Hopefully they will be able to do an early u/s and put your mind at ease.

Re: Ok, this is crazy
I looked back and my hcg level at 19 dpo with two implanted was 2050. So not too far off from where you are now. Hope this calms your worries a bit....although I know the prospect of twins had me almost as freaked out as a molar pregnancy.

Re: Ok, this is crazy
yes, i agree twins is pretty scarey, i told pab if it is twins i think id be moving... our house is kinda crappy for babies, didnt realize it at the time, but with a deathly staircase, all laminate floors (no wonder poor dante doesnt want to crawl) and having to go up and down my deathtrap laminate stairs to answer the door do laundry etc with dante on my hip, i couldnt imagine doing it with two babies and a 17 month old!
at betabase they arent RIGHT off but close... 14dpo 543 16dpo 1535 doubling time of 32 hours.. not bad. 1.3 days.. in that context they arent totally insane. lol

Re: Ok, this is crazy
and i was going to say, the averages can be off....
for example, the average pregnancy impants on 8dpo.. and starts to double, and thats wehre the ranges come from
but if i implanted early, say 6dpo, then thats going to increase the actual doubling # big time.
