So I spent all day trying to get the results of my second beta. The nurse who I really like was out sick and I'm not even sure the person I was talking with was a nurse. She seemed really slow. She kept telling me my first beta was 13 and my second was 47. I kept asking "Are you sure? Because my progesterone level was 47." She assured me she was right but I was not convinced so I called the lab. They told me that they couldn't give me my own lab results but insisted that because my HCG level had been accidently connected to another test that the results won't come back until next week, my hcg level had not even been faxed to my doctor yet. So I called my doctor's office back and the nurse once again insisted that my second beta was indeed 47. Well, I work in the hospital where I had my lab drawn so I asked if I could sign a release and get my lab records. They told me I would have to go through medical records and they aren't in until Monday. So I'm just sitting here going crazy. I ended up having to tell them at work that I am pregnant because there are some patients I can't take care of while pregnant and some things I can't do. I hate having to share the news so early but after all I've been through, I definitely don't want to put my baby in danger.

So in the meantime I am just continuing to drive myself crazy. Hopefully I will be able to get real results by Monday. I had another beta drawn today as well. So we'll see. I'll keep you all posted if I'm still sane by then. LOL!

Andi, If it was me I would go to the ER.I would not be able to set there all weekend and wondering if that lady was right or not...I would say I was having pain and get another beta ran.So big hugs to you girl...

well, that was alot like here...
we dont usually get same or next day results... we are told it will take a few business days to get results. I would call and bug the receptionist at my dr office, but in the end, I always had to wait. (cept one time when I called the lab and said I was my dr's secretary and wanted to get results for a patient, hehe)
I know its hard, but hang in there hon. have you taken any more hpt's to check for darkness?

I work in the hospital where the labs were drawn and I worked tonight and it was all I could do not to look them up. Although it sounds crazy to me, supposedly HIPAA (the privacy law) states you can't look up your own medical record and we were told during orientation that if they catch you doing it you can be immediately terminated. So I just sat there and glared at the computer all night.

However, to keep myself from going completely insane, I did take another HPT. I bought one of the ones that doesn't say that it works 5 days before your period because I figured that it would probably have an hcg detection level of at least 50, if not 100. Well, the test line came back way darker than the control line, so I think for now I'm good. I just want to get my levels high enough that they can check to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.

I figured you all would understand. I'm just really proud of myself because including the one that I took at 6 dpo (LOL!), I have only peed on 5 sticks this cycle. That must be some kind of a record. I think I should get a medal.

Anyway, I will be up at the crack of dawn waiting to call the doctor's office tomorrow. Thanks for letting me share my insanity.
