Default Ladies, I've been having BH all day, I think that this might be...

preterm labor.

Just wanted to let ya all know. I called my MW and she said that she would not stop labor so for me just to look out for "real" labor and call her back.

This is exactly how labor began with ds #2, it was midnight and I was wide awake with AF like cramps and light irregular cx's. Then as the day passed it was real labor.

I'm so scared that she won't get to come home with me. But I've read that at 34wks babies to very well. Please pray for me and Bella.

Thanks.

DeAnne
34weeks today.

Will keep you in my thoughts Deanne. I hope she stays in there a little longer for you, but if not, 34 weeks is still really good!

thanks for your post. They stopped around 3AM and that was a relief but they are back when I got up. Just a wait and see just like my MW said.

I hope all is well now. I wonder why at 34 weeks, she wouldn't stop labor? Will she check Bella's lungs first for maturity?

I'll keep you both in my prayers. I too, like Jenny, wonder why they wouldn't try to stop it at this point. Any update?

Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Well, after resting all day and drinking plenty of fluids they have stopped for now, thank GOD and thank you for the prayers ladies.

My MW didn't really say anything about the baby's lungs. But I'm not as worried anymore, I think I'll make it a few more weeks.

Now I'm just feeling pressure, and some round ligament (spell) pains, it feels like I've been riding a horse.

I called and talking to my friend today who works in the NICU and she said that lungs really aren't an issue with 34weekers, usually it's feeding and body temp.

But like I said I think it was just stress and chasing the boys around. But I think those BH did do something. I think she's dropped. I have an appt. on Thurs 9/06 and will ask the MW if they will do an internal just to check progress or the lack of.

DH is freaking out because he still has some outta town jobs planned.

Thanks again ladies for the posts and prayers. I think all is well for now.

I'll keep you posted.

DeAnne

I know Brandon, when I was about 37-38 weeks, the did the lung maturity test, by amnio, he wasn't ready. If he would have been born, he would have been in the nicu for a bit. Also, the babies I see at the hospital that are less than 35-36 weeks usuallly have to stay in nicu, even if it is for a few days, if not more.
Not all have breathing troubles, but if it can be known, I would want to know. Maybe Bella will stay in for a few more weeks! Good luck!!

Thanks for your post. I know that every baby is different but I had ds #1 at 37wks and he was just fine and I had ds #2 a 37w5d and he was also just fine. So if I can make it another few weeks that would be great.

I know all the stories about the NICU, my sister has been an L&D nurse for 15 yrs and feels my head with enough to freak me out.

Thanks for the post.
