I had a HSG done
So I had it done.I am in so much shock right now I dont know what to think.I am blocked on both sides. The left side barley trickled in and the right side filled up but would not flow out.I dont understand this. After being pregnant 3 times after the reversal and now I am blocked.Well I really think they could of used more dye.He said he didnt want to hurt me.He said to contact my RE and see if they could try to push the dye through a tube.Oh I am so drepressed right now.I am very thankful that I have my angel Thayaden.Thank you God.So I will contact the RE and see what he says to do.

Re: I had a HSG done
Aww Im so sorry...Im wondering if he didnt push it all the way threw to. Im no expert when it comes to HSGs and tubes being blocked. Yes you have your TR baby That is a positive and Im sure your RE will be able to talk to you more about this. Try not to get too depressed, I know its easier said than done. hugs and wishing you some positive news and thoughts

Re: I had a HSG done
I am so sorry. I would definitely see an RE. Both of my tubes were blocked and the RE was able to open up the right one. It didn't hurt me at all even though I'd heard horror stories about HSGs even when the tubes were open. I know people will probably say "at least you have your other kids" but most people don't understand that whether you want 1, 2, or 10, it's still a dream you have and when it doesn't happen it's heartbreaking. It also doesn't mean that you love or appreciate your other kids any less. I am definitely thankful to have my precious Max but that doesn't take the desire to have another away. Anyway, I'm probably rambling but I just wanted to let you know I understand your disappointment and hope that the RE is able to help you.
HUGS!!!!

Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Re: I had a HSG done
Tubal Surgery for Infertility
discusses options for blocked tubes....
Keep in mind though that your tubes may not be blocked. Alot depends on the skill of the technician performing the procedure.
Something else interesting i read was this
" However, just because the fallopian tubes are found to be open by this "plumbing" test this does not mean that tubal function is normal. The inside lining of the fallopian tube can be severely damaged even though the tube is open and dye spills into the abdominal cavity on the hysterosalpingogram. Open but scarred tubes may not be able to perform the necessary functions to result in establishment of a normal intrauterine pregnancy. Proper tubal function allows egg pickup and transport, fertilization, and subsequent embryo transport from the fallopian tube down into the uterus where the embryo would implant." Tubal Factor Infertility Tests and Treatment
Thats interesting... I know my RE did mention to me that the area he had to work on with me due to the placement of my clips, was in an area where a large amount of the little "hairs" are supposed to be to help the egg 'woosh down the tube' (his words) so he said the idea is to damage as few of those hairs as possible.
It is a major surgery.

Re: I had a HSG done
Moonrise,Sorry to jump in. But Im having a hard time finding people who have had a TR surgery done. Like Lmfinnegan I to had surgery by the same doctor. I had mine last week,TR surgery that is. Now that it has happend to her I am scared the same will happen to me. Yes, I am a person who worries alot. But thats just me. Is there a book or something about TR surgery and what the %'s of your tubes closing up?I know the doctor said it is possible. But I think for me that is why I was in so much pain every month.Because they were tied and none functioning anymore. So thats why I am scared that they will close up.What do I do,just wait and see? That is something now that will be on my mind here on out.Thats scary.
