Hey ladies, just thought I might share with u all, how I told Richard that we r pg ................

Richard was putting Tarsha to bed last Monday night (the day I found out) and while he was doing that, I went into our ensuite (bathroom) and got all my tests ready. I placed them all on a gorgeous teddy bear which Richard got me for my 41st birthday and set it up on the vanity unit (bathroom sink).

I came out into the lounge and after Richard & I said goodnight to Tarsha, I asked Richard if he could take a look at the taps in our ensuite, as one seemed to be leaking (this was a little white lie ). So Richard went in and when he came out, he just said to me 'there is no leak in any of the taps, what r u talking about' , so we went back in together and then he realised what was actually sitting on the teddy bear.

I could not believe the look on his face, it was priceless , he is so happy and scared, just like me.

We have not told anyone else that I am pg, we r going to wait until after the 12 week mark, just in case. So not even the kids know yet and boy is it hard keeping a secret.

So, that is how I told Richard that he is going to be a dad again. Here is a pic of the teddy with the tests on it, enjoy....................

Aww Di that is so sweet. Man, I you have will power. DH and I just waited until after the 6wks u/s when we said a h/b. Are you gonna be able to hide it that long? I was wearing pg clothes at 10wks. This is so exciting.


I remember that you were the first one to post to me on this board when I came here looking for advise on how to ask dh for the VR. And now we are pg together.

Did you get the results to the HCG yet? Not that I think you have anything to worry about. The first two were exactly what they should be.

U r such a sweet person DeAnne. It seems so long ago now, when we first met, I remember how scared u were to tell DH that u wanted to have another and look at u now .

Yes, I am going to make sure that I have the willpower to until I am at least 12 weeks along. We told ppl with our last 2 pg'ies and look how they ended up , so we will wait this time.

Still no results yet, I just rang the clinic and she told me that the Dr has not checked them yet, so I will need to call back again tonight or early tomorrow , I just wanna know what my HCG levels r now.

I think we waited til about 12 weeks to tell the kids too. I had just had an 11 week u/s done. and then, a few days later, i showed the kidletts the picture. We didnt tell the rest of the family until about then as well. Just wanted to REALLy make sure that things seemed ok.

Great news Dianne! Congratulations!!

You were on your 2nd cycle of Clomid, weren't you? I currently am; 100mg on days 5-9. I too have only one open tube. Did you have an u/s for a follie count while on Clomid?...I have one on Monday and I'm hoping for some good numbers on my left (open) side.

DJ, yes, I was on my 2nd round of 50mg Clomid. I was not monitored, so I dont know how many follie I had, but I am pretty sure that I only released one egg on my right side. I dont know if I released any on my left, because that is my blocked side and I cant get pg on that side . U can see though, that u only need one tube .
