HCG level advice please
I had always heard that HCG levels were supposed to double in 48 hours. My initial number was 120 and 49 hours later my level was 226. The nurse told me the results weren't abnormal or concerning but that the doctor wanted me to come back in on Friday. I tried one of those on-line HCG calculators and it said my daily increase was 37%, my increase over 2 days was 88%, and my doubling time was 2.18 days. Should I be concerned? When I had the chemical pregnancy last month, I just had the feeling things weren't right but this time I just was sure everything was fine. Now it's taking every ounce of my being not to call that into question.
Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: HCG level advice please
Hey!The numbers are great! hcg doubles every 36-72 hours.. 48 hours is only an average.
10 DPO: 10 - 50 mIU/ml HcG
13 DPO: 20 - 100 mIU/ml HcG
16 DPO: 40 - 200 mIU/ml HcG
Your numbers are doing great hon. Dont worry. (easier said than done, i know.)
I was a freak this time when i got pregnant. My pregnancy right before this ended in m/s. Initial #s were low, under 100 and kept dropping
Sounds like you are doing a-ok.

Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Re: HCG level advice please
Thanks for the reassurance! After infertility, multiple miscarriages, and losing my son I told my RE and my OB that they were going to have to do A LOT of reassuring to keep me from going crazy. My heart is telling me this pregnancy is going to stick around and that this time I will actually get to take a baby home from the hospital, but it's hard to keep the nerves from creeping up.
Thanks again!

Re: HCG level advice please
I think I am 16 days post ovulation. My RE keeps telling me he thinks I am only 15 days post ovulation but that means I would have had a positive home pregnancy test at 7 days post ovulation. I don't think that is even possible!
