Icon11 Good news and bad news

Sorry for posting a bunch of threads about myself lately!

Bad news is that they couldn't complete the catharization (sp) on my dad's heart. There was close to 99% blockage, they told my mom he was lucky to be alive, it is strange because he is a very active and mostly fit man. They are doing Open heart surgery tomorrow morning. So I have been running since 5 a.m. when my mom called me this morning, taking her to hospital, going to work, dr's then back to hospital. It is now almost 10 and I just got home. I am beat but I wanted to share some good news with you all too!

The RE said that DH is at the borderline of where he does IUI's ! So as long as there are no anitbodies on the sperm, we can do IUI with Clomid!
Monday he has to drop another sample off for the test! If there are anti bodies the only other option is IVF.
BUT that is way more hope than I had before!!!!!
Thanks for all of your well wishes and support! it means the world to me!

Carrie, That's great news...I'm really pullin for you! We can be IUI buds for November...Is that the cycle you will do it? My RE approved me for an IUI but we're debating on Femara or Injectibles; I see him nex week. Wouldn't that be something if we both get our bfp and can share our 9 months together...I will come to Ohio and we'll baby shop together!

My thoughts are with you and your Dad.

You're a good caring person; I'm sorry you are going thru so much. <Hugs>

So much going on. I'll be thinking of your Dad. He is very lucky to have caught this in time for treatment.

And...YIPPEEE! I am just sooooo excited for you with the new hope now for IUI. Best wishes with the next SA.

Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Thanks Ladies!
I set the appt for monday for DH to drop off another sample and get the test run!
DJ that would be great to do our IUI's and get BFP's together! I am assuming it would be november since I am CD 10 already now, I don't normally O until cd 21ish but I doubt he would do an IUI this cycle. I was too excited that there might be a chance for IUI that I forgot to ask!

Dad still hasn't had his surgery, he was scheduled for 11 this morning, been sitting in the hall on his gurney, but there was a catheriztion before him that crashed and had to have emergancy open heart, so he is waiting for the room to open up. I have to go and watch my niece so my sister can go to work, mom is still at the hospital, I worry about her, this is too much stress on her with her lupus. I don't know if I will be back on tonight. Lexi is old enough to read over my shoulder, and I can just imagine what she would repeat LOL!

all for your comments and support. It really helps me.
I was having a very rough time for awhile and planned on leaving the board because, while I am very happy about all the bfps and LOVE seeing the new babies, it was also very hard for me, thinking that there was no real chance for me to ever have even 1 child of my own and I was very depressed.

I am now feeling a bit better and cautiously hopefull! We will see what they say next week, I probably won't get results until Weds. again.

My father is out of surgery and in recovery. They said it went well, although they will not be able to tell if he had a stroke during his surgery until tomorrow. Mom got to see him for a couple of minutes and now she is finally home and hopefully resting.
