I hope everyone is doing well!! I posted this on another board and was too lazy to type it all again...I have good news and bad news. I will start with the good. Im engaged!! He finally proposed!!
So we went out to dinner, had a sitter so it was the 2 of us. He took me to a very nice seafood restaurant and I thought it was kind of weird that we were walking past a bunch of empty tables to a spot in the back, away from everyone. Well he told me to order a bottle of wine and he went to the restroom. He came back and we ordered the appetizers and she brought the wine in a bucket. He tasted the wine, and she poured the glasses and set the bottle down on the table, and when she did that she said "oh look, theres something else in here" and took out the box and put it down in front of me. I was in shock. I shook a little, and he was smiling, and gave me his speech, told me how happy he is and how much he loves me and will i marry him. I said YES! If I had turned around I would have seen the restaurant staff peeking around the corner watching the whole thing. The ring is more beautiful than the picture! However it is too big, its a 6.5 and I am a 5.
Now for the bad news. I took it to a jeweler after work to drop it off to be sized. He first advised me against sizing it because of the side stones. Adjusting it will loosen the setting and the stones will fall out over time. I was pretty disappointed but asked for a 2nd appraisal (the ring came with one) and was told that instead of being a HVS1 stone, it is actually a JSI2, which is considerably lower quality. If the ring was advertised as JSI2, thats one thing, but it wasnt, and he spoke of how white the center stone is. I am disappointed. Mainly because of the fact that it is not as specified in the appraisal. The center stone is slightly yellow. The surrounding and side stones are better quality, and are white. So its noticeable. So I sent the seller a letter and expect to hear from him tomorrow morning to discuss this. I want that ring, but i need it to be the correct size, and the correct quality as on the appraisal. So we are pretty bummed right now about that. Here are pics!
In other news, I got a fairly dark + on OPK. This mornings was pretty light. I expect that tomorrow mornings will be darker, so I am guessing for O tomorrow night or Wed morning. I discovered I have a pretty short surge. Jason is not travelling this week, or at least till Thurs, so we BD last night (OF COURSE!!) and will bd again in the am. Or tonight, who knows...LOL. I am so afraid of waiting in between, thinking I will miss O. But since I am not temping I have nothing else to obsess about, you know?
