Icon7 Cautiously optimistic

Got a faint BFP yesterday at 10 dpo and a slightly darker one today at 11 dpo. I'm headed to the doctor to get my first beta and a repeat progesterone. If my progesterone is low then I will have to start supplements. Has anyone taken progesterone before? Two of my friends have and one said she had no side effects and the other said she felt like she was in a drunken fog the whole time she was on it, so I don't know what to expect. I'm afraid to be optimistic but I also can't help but be hopeful. I know I haven't been around much lately but you all are always so helpful and supportive that I wanted to share my potentially good news.

Congrats and praying for a happy healthy 9 for you!

I think it depends on what type of progesterone they put you on. When I did the IVF, I did progesterone IM shots for 2 weeks............owwwww. I didn't have any side effects from it unless you count the Knots I had on my butt for a month afterwards! I would ask for the suppositories if you can!

Thanks so much for all the well wishes and support. I had my labs drawn and now the waiting game begins. I'm a little nervous because my beta last cycle was only 8 and my progesterone was 1.7. I had my labs drawn on a Monday and I'd had a +HPT on the Friday before so I know my HCG must have been higher at some point but obviously it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. I really hope all my levels are in line with what they should be and I can just relax and enjoy what will probably be our last pregnancy. But if I need to stand on my head or inject myself with who knows what, I will do whatever it takes. So anyway, I'm a ball of nerves and I'm probably not making a lot of coherent sense. I will keep you all posted!

Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."
