This is a discussion on ? about my cycle and upcoming surgery within the TTC - After Vas/Tubal Reversal forums, part of the Trying to Conceive - Issues category; I have a question about my cycle, as all you know, my cycles are messed up...I had a cycle ...
I have a question about my cycle, as all you know, my cycles are messed up...I had a cycle February 13, March 17, April 27 and now today I have spotting and PMS symptoms(May 19). I am NOT used to having my cycle early, for the past year its either been between 5-13 weeks between cycles..LOL and to see this has confused me. Im questioning, if this is going to affect my surgery, or my chances of pregnancy afterwards, or if it will delay my cycle next cycle again. But I guess on the bright side looking at my chart from this month, I guess I did ovulate on the 9th day after my menses began. But I only had eggwhites May 14, 15 and 16....and being we are the 19th, shouldnt that make my cycle still be atleast a week or so away? My bbt is also still up high, its at 97.6 and I shouldnt be up that high if im mensing right, ive also havent been sleeping well the last couple days would that keep my temps up and still get my menses? We did have intercourse more this past weekend than we normally did, perhaps he irritated something, who knows..But im just puzzled, and am very concerned, and hopeful on getting pregnant very quickly after the surgery, just worried this will interfere with it. Maybe some of you can answer my question on when your menses were befor TR, did you go in shortly after your menses for your TR or just befor you were to start? and did you get your menses on time after the TR? Also when i had my xray done, it showed one clip was off and on the left side with the other clip, could I be pregnant? I hope not yet....I know these maybe stupid questions and silly ones at that, but to me it makes sense on my end, and I had to ask, silly or not. Im posting a pic of my chart, ignore the lines it was just something I was doing to figure out my cycle a few days ago.

I really dont have any answers for you. Could you be pregnant? I dont know.I dont know for sure if you actually ovulated already, maybe you just have REALLY low temps during your menstrual part of your cycle.
I did however have ewcm after ovulation this month. A hpt would show up as + by now, because if you go an ovulation date of cycle day 9, then you are 14dpo.
The TR has nothing to do with your cycles. In general, your cycles will continue along as they were before.
Well, at least for me it was true.
My cycles have always been 28-29 days, before and after tr.
I had my period at the time of my surgery, i had just started it the day before.
28 days after my surgery, i had my next period. AFter that period, we started trying to conceive.
Cycles are based on hormones. Your body makes hormones that tells your follicles to start growing, and then makes hormones that rupture the follies, and then makes a hormone that keeps your lining from shedding for two weeks to give an egg a chance to implant.
If you are not ovulating regularly, then yes, that affects your chances of becoming pregnant.
For women that ovulate every four weeks, they have a chance of becoming pregnant every month.
For women that only ovulate every 6 weeks, or maybe not at all (sometimes long cycles occur becauase there is no ovulation) then of course, that is going to take alot more work to get pregnant. It doesnt mean it impossible.
For three months after your surgery, keep track of your cycle, like you are doing, and then ask for some hormone therapy to help if things are still wonky,
Talk to the surgeon, ask him if he can assist with pregnancy by doing some bloodwork when its time to ttc and then offering meds if needed.
My surgeon told me if I was not pregnant within three months that he would put me on clomid.
I thought that was a bit premature, as being over thirty, the pregnancy chances are less each month and i thought i would take at LEAST six months before I worried about it.

Thanks... I think we may have had a conversation about this befor, But I had to ask it again. I have flow today, so AF did show up. early at that. I have an appointment today with the anasthesiologist..LOL fun fun. I did ask my surgeon IF things dont work out after a while if we could work on seeing why I may not be pregnant. and he said he will discuss with me after the surgery and at my follow up appointments. He to, mentioned if it didnt work I would be put on clomid 3 months after, being my tubes have been tied for 5+ years. To me I dont mind either way. In ways Im happy I got my AF early as it makes for my recovery less of a hassel to be running to the bathroom. I live in the bathroom that time of the month. I hate it..LOL My temps are on the low side? to me they are high considering I am at 96.0 right now...i was at 96.0 for a while during my AF last month then it spiked and stayed at a spike for a good 2 weeks. How are you feeling?
