Do I need to have my menstrual cycle on any kind of schedule prior to reversal or should it be some what normal , my type of normal...I do know I ovulate, I have done cm check since 1999.
My last periods were
February 13
March 18 (spotting very light March 17)
April 28 (spotting very light April 27)
It is quite normal for me to menstruate anywhere between 30-40 days. Yes I have discussed this with my surgeon, and he told me, well get the blood test done to check for ovulation and all I got from that was Progesterone 2 Prolactin 8. The blood test was done April 9th, 23 days after my first day of cycle.He says we will see from that about your cycles on april 30th. But he didnt do the FSH test and if he is going to do it, I guess he wll make me do it on wednesday? Im also 30 years old, guess certain blood tests dont need to be done? Just curious what you all had to do pretty much befor surgery in regards to cycles.

You will have to ask the surgeon that when you go in there.
I have no idea.
On day 23 of your cycle, it showed you didnt ovulate.. thats all i know, and then 18 days later, you got ,so you may have finally ovulated. Its all just guesswork without temps showing ovulation.
CM doesnt signify ovulation, it just means your body is TRYING to ovulate, estrogen levels are dropping in order to signal LH, but it doesnt mean that you did ovulate, i have multiple ewcm patches sometimes throughout a cycle.

I've started to temp today, I'm at 96.9 so far, I will do it daily till my next cycle and observe it. As for the cm, to me, I notice a change a week or so befor my cycle starts, I have conflicting advice, it either works or it doesnt, to determine if you are able to secrete the hormones that signal ovulation...my family doctor said the cm proves im still working, and the other says no....LOL I will not go by that to get pregnant, heck no, but its something I have been watching and noticing .
Crystal, YES I WANT the TR, Im just hoping my doctor will let me irregardless of my cycles.

cm is supposed to signal ovulation, but it should be happening 2 weeks before your period starts.
Implantation of the egg into the lining of the uterus occurs at 6-10dpo (can happen as late as 12dpo, but less than 20% of these pregnancies are viable). So the egg needs a chance to implant and attach itself securely to your endometrium before being expelled in your menses... if only a week is passing between what you feel is ovulation and your period, then this is not enough time. simple things like progesterone can help, or once it is determined via u/s if possibley your eggs arent matureing well, resulting in low progesterone, then things like clomid can help to correct it.

ok, when you say cm should be happening 2 weeks befor, is that the thick stringy mucus or the clear, whitish and cramping(when i do notice it)?
Ive been thinking today that I may have mistake what i think or have known is ovulation....I have a good 2 weeks if not more of were my panties are needing pantyliners, etc, but its not enough to soak threw my panties. This month, I did notice the stringy discharge clump about a week befor, but i did have cm a good 2 weeks on going till my spotting started.
....then again, TMI here, pretty much threw out the month its moist down there and dries up almost a few days after my period stops.
I guess I will have to buy that ovulation test from superstore, its like $59.99 for it and get tons of stuff in it.
Geeze wednesday cant come soon enough..Ive been driving myself up and down lately, ive been thinking i wont get told "yes I will schedule you for the TR"....LOL... I should relax.

Ovulator predictor tests are going to cost way too much and still will not show you if you ovulated.
They are only recommended for women with regular cycles.
It will show that your hormones are trying to ovulate.
If you ovulatory problems, it will simply be a waste of money, because you could have multiple LH surges throughout a cycle with no actual ovulation.
Stick with the temping and charting.
ONLY temping will show if you DID ovulate.FActs about temping are found on the same above link.
Most of us here at SheKnows swear by fertility friend. It has tonnes of information and helps to keep track of these things.
It takes a bit of time, but arm yourself with the same information that we all have, and in no time, you'll be a ttc pro too!

here is some info regarding cm from the link, but I urge you to go and read up on it all. " Cervical fluid is produced by your cervix as you approach ovulation due to increased estrogen. It flows from the cervix into the vagina where it can easily be observed. Your cervical fluid changes throughout your cycle, increasing in quantity and becoming more clear and stretchy as you get closer to ovulation.
In the most common pattern, cervical fluid starts out dry after your period and then gets sticky, then creamy, then wet and watery, becoming most like eggwhite as you get closer to ovulation. Usually it dries up quickly after ovulation. You may get different types of cervical fluid on the same day. Always record your most fertile cervical fluid to make sure that you do not miss a potentially fertile day."
and yes, this egg white cervical mucous (sometimes women dont get it) is made RIGHT before ovulation, and ovulation should occur two weeks app. before your period.
the eggwhite cervical mucous provides nourishment for the sperm while they are in the cervix.

Yes I have that course, being emailed to me. I still cant do a chart, says error...oh well, im going to be using my sons email addy to may be start up a FF account and see if mines inactive. Yes I did click on it and its helped me to understand charting and temping. Ive started today by writing a graph...my DH wants me to just let it hapen..but its been 5 years since i became pregnant, so I want to get in tune again. Thanks for that info above, its wonderful.
