hi folks...I'm new around here, but have been TTC#2 since coming off depo 2 years ago...I've just ov'd, so am hoping this will be my month...however, I've learned how to NOT get my hopes up too high (but that doesn't mean I don't sometimes!! lol)

I've had blood work run which confirms I am indeed ovulating (which FF already said, but the GP wanted to make sure), I've had a sonogram looking for any obstructions which could be causing my almost daily cramping (nothing found) and heavy bleeds...no cysts or fibroids or anything else in there she said, so on with the waiting for now...next test the GP said would be done after hubbys SA will be the lap and dye, which I will not be looking forward to...hoping it just won't need to come to that, though!!

Hi.... I 'm new here, too!!! I have been off of Depo for 2 years this month and I'm just now starting to get regular and ovulate. I've had blood work done and everything is fine. I tried temping before but I gave up!! I may try to do that again being as I'm starting to finally regulate!!

I already have 2 children and I was on Depo before I decided to get pregnant with them. Each time, like clockwork.. 11 months... 1 period and I'm pregnant!!! Now... 24 months later... nothing!! And.. I thought it took a long time then!!

My Dr. got me an appt. with a fertility specialist but I'm really nervous about that. I wanted to do this on our own. I guess it's hard for me to admit that we may need some help.

One thing is for sure... having trouble getting pregnant is a very exhausting and heartbreaking experience.

Hi Kelly...sorry you're in a similar boat...hope the specialist can either give you some pointers or give you some help! Bet you figured it would be the same this time around as well, huh? I really despise this drug and make sure to tell everyone I come across not to take it if they may ever want another baby...it's just not worth it! It's totally heartbreaking...and to think: it's my own fault! My GP didn't tell me a darn thing either...nothing bad anyways...she just said "It's the same as the pill, only more convenient. You may put on 5 pounds in a year." and then stuck a needle in my butt!! No mention of "actually, you'll gain 30 pounds, your hair will fall out, you'll lose your sex drive (all of it!), your post partum depression (which I just gave you ADs for!) will get worse (especially since you're so prone to depression anyways! I really shouldn't be giving you this drug!! haha), and when you decide 'enough is enough, I want more kids', you may have to wait years, not months like the paper I gave you says...oh, and if you happen to get pregnant while you're on it, you'll have a very high risk of ectopic pregnancy! By the way, they give this drug to rapists and child molesters to chemically castrate them....HAVE FUN!!"

I Started The Depo When I Was 15yrs Old I Did Not Get Off Depo Until I Was 20 Or 21yrs Old I Was Looking At A Site Called Find Law.com And It Gives You Info About Recalled Drugs The Depo Is One Of Them And It Says That You Are Only Suppose To Be On The Depo For A Minimum Of 2yrs Indometriosis I Think I Spelled It Wrong I Get Cysts On My Ovaries, I Cramp So Bad, My Periods Have Not Gotten Back Normal, It Hurts During Sex And Then I Was Told That I Had A Pre Cancer Cell On My Cervex I Have A 9yr Old Son I'm 24 And My Husband Is 30 We Only Have One Child I Don't Know What To Do Because I Don't Have Insurance But I Have Been Told That I Can Have Another Child. It Seems That I'm At A Dead End And I Really Don't Want To Give Up But I'm Tired.
