My Story
Hi All,
My name is Brandi and this is my story, hope it helps in some way sorry (long)
I was very young when I got on Depo back in 2000 I was barely 16. by Dec 2000 I had my last period! I finished High School and got married when I was 18 on Sept, 11, 2002 (no we didn't plan the date, we just said Wednesday, long story) anyways, Morgan my husband was in the Marine Corps at the time and by Dec 2002 I asked my Dr if I should get off the shot that we would be wanting to TTC in the next year he told me not yet so I stayed on it. My husband went to war in Feb 2003 I got off Depo in June 2003 and tried ortho evera patch for 2 weeks but had a reaction to it so I just quit BC all together!
My husband came home in Oct 2003 and we began TTC however there was a problem I didn't have a period. June of 2004 1 year after quitting depo I got a period. My husband went back to war in Aug 2004. I had a period that lasted from sept 2004-Nov 2004 can I just say OUCH! the Dr put me on a low dose BC pill for 3 months to straiten out the cycle and said that being on it for so short a time wouldn't give me prob TTC I wasn't worried though I still ahd till May 2005 to do that. Well May came and Morgan came home for good he got out of the Marines and we started TTC my periods were Irregular and TTC became very stressful I had every ovulation predictor you can imagine the clear plan monitor got it, the sticks tried em, the saliva scope done that, not to mention BBT Charting . Don't get me wrong these things work they showed I was Ovulating but irregular cycles are nasty little things that play with your head and body. My husband and I had been married 3 years or 36mo but had been seperated for 20 of them! So we had marriage issues and seperated for 4 months this past fall. It was duing this time my periods decided they wanted to straiten out and become regular go figure!!! Morgan and I worked things out and are back together TTCing only using an saliva scope and relaxing. It will happen eventually. Now I may be Preg and will know in a couple of days. Keep your chins up ladys I know it's hard and I wish you all Baby Dust.
