Icon9 frustrated and not happy

I have been on the pill now almost a month and have had the worst cramps and pain. I have had 2, count them 2 infections in the past 5 weeks and am already tired of this stuff. AF is "Scheduled" to show with next weeks pills, but we will see if she shows.

I woke up this morning thinking I wanted to die. The cramps were so bad. Thank god for a heating pad and a little motrin. I just want this to be over. DH asked me last night if I just wanted to give up and go natural, and I am not sure, but after this morning I might just do it.

Did any of you do any natural stuff before to get AF back normally?

Hi! and
Yes It can take 3 months on up to about 3 years before one becomes normal again after depo.

I took the natural route and it took me about 9 months after the last shot to finally become pregnant about 6 months before I got AF back so it took about 3 months to normalize after AF returned. I took Dong Quai, Zinc, and some progesterone cream along with some prenatal vitamins as well. There are some new pre-menopause vitamin packs available now which I would recommend since depo puts a woman into menopause and the vitamins are supposed to help boost hormone production so it would be worth a shot IMHO.

I also kept track of my temps because for me it felt like I was doing something as well. I could literally see and watch the depo leave my system by charting my temps so it was nice to actually KNOW that it was leaving my system rather than just wonder if it was, yk?!

And keep us updated on how things are going!~

oh my god. I am with you.. I was on the last patch of my patches for birth control for one cycle of straightening out. I started having heart palpatations, severe naseau, some vomiting, migraines etc.. I ripped the damned thing off last night and said enough is enough.. no more birth control.. I want one more child, then I'll get my tubes tied. so try to hang in there. I probably did the worst possible thing taking it off as far as my cycles, because I'm having a luteal phase defect and now I'll probably have an early period again. but I didn't care for heart palpatations!
