So, after being off of Depo since September 2005 and having no sign of AF, I went to the doctor today. She has seen many depo patients, however she was very concerned that I had no sign of a period in 8 months. She explained that my body is pumping out a ton of Estrogen, without any way of releasing it. The result of this is my lining on my uterus to thicken, which has a chance of turning into cancer. Needless to say, I hate depo! Sigh, anyhoo, she said that because it's only been 8 months I shouldn't worry. She told me that I needed to start provera. I had done research on provera and know there are some pretty adverse side effects. My doc said it would be more of a risk to stay off then to take it. So today is my first day of provera. I'll take it for two months, then hopefully my body will just start AF naturally. We'll see!

This site has provided me with so much information and hope. I just want to post my stuff in case it may help someone else, as so many have helped me!

Just wanted to say hi and say i hate depo as well! iknow several women who have had to use provera and had no side effects. like you dr said the risk is greater not taking that taking it! hope full this will get you stratighted out and you can get a bfp when you start ttc!
