Default When do you think I O'd?

Hi everyone,

Here's the situation. I had a huge temp spike on CD 20 and according to FF, I O'd on CD 19. I got my first PEAK and +OPK on CD 20. I got my 2nd monitor PEAK on CD 21. The temps and monitor/OPK's seem to be in conflict...arghhh!!! Which should I go by? I would think that I would have O'd on CD 20 or 21. I got only a HIGH on my monitor and a -OPK on CD 19. I changed the tuning and I still got O on CD 19 on Research (was on Advanced setting). I'm hoping the O date would be CD 20, b/c then I would get the best rating for BD timing Any help would be apprecitated...thanks so much!

You probably O'd inbetween CD 19 and 20. If you look at my chart I spiked on CD 19 and I know I O'd on CD 18 because I can feel when I O and I O'd in the middle of the day but my temp didn't reflect that until the next morning, yk?! So you probably O'd sometime during that day, which is why your OPK may not have picked up on it either. Does that make sense?

Good Luck to you though!

Lisa, I don't know how to interpret the OPK results, but from your temps, I think it shows you O'd on CD19. It's interesting that the thermal shift was at the same stage of your cycle even though you were on Clomid this cycle. Does that mean the clomid did what it was supposed to do? I don't quite understand how things work on clomid.

I think the bd-ing pattern looks good!

Lisa,
I know this is late, but wanted to tell you what Clomid did for me. Clomid is supposed those who already O on their own make for a stronger O, that is, cause your egg(s) to ripen a sufficent amount that it will be released. Clomid can help those who are annovulatory ovulate (I already O on my own, so it just give my eggs a bit more juice to pop out..lol). It can also cause you to ovulate earlier than you normally do (my typical O day was anywhere from CD 24-26 and on Cloimd I O'd on CD19...5 days earlier) and correct a luteal phase defect (increases post-O progesterone levels). My LP was only 10 days..on the short side...it increased it to 13 (so far this cycle). Those with short LP's may not be able to sustain a pregnancy. I hope I explained this well. Are you looking into Clomid?

I'm thinking about asking my doctor about it around the time we start trying. If I can show my doc my charts and that I still need provera to get , then I can show her I'm not o'ing, and get help before I spend a year trying pointlessly. We'll see. I think losing some weight will help me to get my cycles back, so that's what I'm doing between now and the end of the year.
