My LMP was August 15-22, I was placed on Metformin to help the TTC process and to get on a normal period schedule. So.... I still have not gotten my period, I took a HPT about 1 1/2 weeks ago which was negative, so a few days ago I decided to take an OPT and it was positive, so we BD and then yesterday I took another and it was also POSITIVE! Just as dark as the first and both darker than the test line. Now this morning I took another OPT and this was also a dark POSITIVE.
What does this mean? I have heard that OPT sometimes are predictors of pregnancy, could this be my situation?

Hi Dana,

I haven't had any experience with Metformin, but I recall reading somewhere that it is possible to get more than one positive OPK during a cycle. Supposedly your body is making LH, but not enough to trigger an egg to release. So you have little surges before the big surge that comes with true ovulation. But I can't remember where I read that, so take it with a grain of salt.

It might take a while for your cycles to regulate on Metformin, so even if it didn't bring af this time, it might next time.
