Default starting over!!

Ok I'm in need of some advise. My husband and I want to start TTC. We have one 11 y/o boy so we are literally starting over!! I am over weight, I'm just over 200. Ive joined Weight watchers to loose some weight. We would like to start trying in the next couple of months. Im worried about my weight, and I'm wondering if there are other ladies out there who were big before getting pregnant and have any advice. Im taking prenatal vitamins, walking , eating better, anything else I should do? Thanks

Default Re: starting over!!

I was about 275 when I got pregnant. It wasn't planned but we also were not actively trying to prevent it. We had been together a year before we got married and the week after we got married I got pregnant. For us we didn't have to do anything special and apparently my weight wasn't an issue. 6 months down the road and I have now gained 31 pounds with this pregnancy and compared to other friends that are pregnant they are not having near as hard a time as I am. The extra weight is really putting a strain on my back, breathing, and my feet and ankles have started to swell tremendously. So looking back i wish I had been smaller before I got pregnant and will definitely do things different next time, so I think it is great that you are taking steps to get healthy. My only advice is to keep up with what you are doing and start charting your cycles to pinpoint ovulation. Good luck and baby dust to you hon.
