I however have been going back and forth between the atkins diet and a low calorie diet consuming about 1200 calories a day. But what Mom2Eliz said it extremely true, it was profiled on Discovery Healths National Weight Loss Challenge show.
My dieting choice is not one some agree with. Some tell me that if I want to do atkins then I should just do it, but I am still lactating and I need some of the extra carbs for my milk supply. Ironically though when I do introduce them during my low cal weeks I tend to maintain weight and possibly only lose about 1 pound for the week, but while I am on the Atkins protein diet the following week I can lose up to 5 pounds for the week.
But basically that's what I have been doing and so far have been able to keep my monthly goal of 10 pounds a month. Of course it's only been 2 months now,

The forst 30 came off easily since it was mostly pregnancy water weight, but then the holidays came around and I just waited unil January to really start dieting, because lets face it who wants to diet during Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts! roflol!
