Who would my DH go to for a SA? I want him to get one done before I go to the doc next month to discuss my options. Would he go to a urologist, or an RE? Does anybody know

I believe it is a urologist but I am not completely sure.

We got referred to an RE. I bet either one could do it.

We were also referred to a RE and the lab was right in his office

Leese,
My OB/GYN gave us a slip for one. DH can get the sample at home and bring it to the lab (it's a lab at a Fertility Clinic affiliated with the University hospital my OB is associated with). An RE would do it for you also. We have an appt. to submit one on Oct. 1st. Couldn't believe we needed an appt., but I guess it's b/c the tech needs to readit right away.

Thanks for the info. Although I really wanted to have it done before my appt, I think I will wait until then and see if my doc will write him a lab slip. He won't be back here until X-mas, so we would have to have it done then, but I guess it's not that far away. Otherwise he would have to find a doc in Ohio, and he's really busy right now so I don't want to ask him to do that.

I'm trying to decide if I should go on the pill if she thinks it's a good idea. I'm mostly afraid that once I stop the pill any other doc (since I will likely be in Ohio w/ a new one) will want me to try for a year before giving me some extra help. I guess I'll have to decide if I want to take that risk.
