OT - Furbaby prayers request

Hi guys,

I came back from my trip yesterday to find myself with one healthy kitty and one very sick kitty. My big kitty is not doing well, by the time I realized he needed to see a vet tonight and not wait until morning, he had gone really downhill. He's in the pet hospital tonight, and they are running some tests and giving him fluids. He's a big part of my everyday life since DH had to move, so could I get so prayers that he pulls through?

I'll let you know what happens with him.

Lisa, I am so sorry to hear that! I will definetly pray for the wellness of your furry friend!! Let us know how he is doing!!!

Oh, I am so sorry your kitty is sick! I hope and pray that he gets better soon. Having a pet get sick makes me sick with worry. They are part of my family. Hopefully the vet will quickly figure out how to treat him and he will be ok. Please let us know how he is.

Thanks guys. He had a pretty bad day yesterday, and we thought he was going to need surgery today to see what's going on inside him, but he seems to have made some progress overnight. The vet thinks it might be pancreatitis or his liver. For now, all we can do is continue fluids and see if he wants to eat something either tonight or tomorrow. Poor thing hasn't eaten in 4 days

My cat had pancreatitis and was pretty sick but did survive. Shortly after that he developed diabetes. I would watch for that in the future - it is not uncommon after that type of illness. I am glad he's doing somewhat better. My cat was in the hospital like 5 days or something with that. It was scary. Keep us informed.

Thanks everyone! My kitty was able to come home this morning, he started doing a lot better last night. The dr still thinks it was pancreatitis, but we are waiting on some test results that will say if it was or not (I won't get those for another week or so).

Yay! I'm so happy!

What a relief! I am so glad he came home and is doing well. Keep us updated.
