Hi!
I just wanted to echo the fact that you really must take it with food, in order to lessen the tummy upset. Is it regular or extended release? I take the regular, but I know many women on different boards who had a lot of 'grief' with the regular, and then went on to the extended version, and were fine. In any case, your doc hopefully started you on a low dose (ie. 500mg/day) and then slowly work you up to your optimum dosage. For myself, I found each week when I upped my dose, my

troubles increased, and then eventually subsided. I'm just concerned that you were told to take it at bedtime. Even if you eat something with it at bedtime, I can almost guarantee you will be woken up probably several times throughout the night to make a mad dash to the washroom. Best of luck, and let us know how it goes for you.
I was also wondering about your insulin level being a 13??? Maybe in the States you use a different unit of measurement, but I was told that anything under 100 is normal. My initial test was 192, which was VERY high, but after months of being on the med, it was down to 81, which was normal. So, I'm wondering why a 13 is considered "starting to get a little high"? I'd be interested in hearing more of what you were told.
Good luck, and I hope you get a

really soon!
