Hi Ladies!

Hopefully, no one here remembers me. (I hope they've all gotten pg by now.) But, I started my journey to motherhood right here on this board. I really appreciated all the support I received here and wanted to let you know that even when your plus-size it is very possible to get pregnant, have a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery, and healthy baby.

I was very fortunately and got PG in my 2nd cycle off BCP. (I started hanging out on these boards before we were actively TTC.) I'm sure it helped that I charted. My pregnancy was fairly text-book and my extra weight didn't cause any problems. My baby ended up being born by c-section (he wouldn't descend 12 hours after my water broke) but everything worked out great. Three months after his birth, my weight was actually down 10 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.

Throughout TTC and my pregnancy no ever gave me any grief about my weight. I hope you are all that lucky! Good luck and lots of baby dust to you all!

Hi Maurene! I was lurking and saw this post so I thought I would add my 2 cents as well, if you don't mind.

I to became a member of this board when I was TTC and I agree with Maurene 100% that it is completely possible to have a healthy easy pg and delivery even if you are plus sized.

It took me only 4 cycles (only 2 of those charting) to become pg, I gained 26lbs. and delivered a healthy baby boy (4 weeks early though). I too lost all the "baby weight" and am pretty close to being 15 pounds lighter than I was when I was TTC. Blood pressure or diabetes were never factor in my pg as well.

This board was a ton of support to me and made me feel so comfortable. There are some issues we face that "normal" sized people just don't understand.

We are going to actively start TTC in August, but we're doing nothing to prevent it right now.
