Icon5 Fertility Monitor Issues

I'm having some issues with my fertility monitor(ClearBlue Easy). For one thing, I must have pushed button the start of my cycle an hour late and yesterday, I totally missed testing (I worked yesterday) b/c I didn't get the little flashing stick...just the cycle day and "LOW" reading. I guess I didn't miss testing the couple of days before that b/c I wasn't working and woke up later.

Anyway, that happened again this morning, so I kept checking it to see if it would tell me to test. It finally did at 6 am..arghhh . Glad I collected urine b/c I get up at 5 am and I can't hold it an hour! I got a "LOW", but there was a second line on the test stick. I know that's not what you're supossed to go by...just the reading on the monitor, but I remember seeing 2 lines on the test stick that gave me a "PEAK" reading last month. I have EWCM too, but I get a few patches of it throughout my cycle. What do you guys think? Maybe I should do an OPK? I hope I have one lying around! Another thing..I usually ovulate late and this is CD 14. I did have a temp dip today. What do you think?

Default Re: Fertility Monitor Issues

Usually there is a spike and then a dip and then a rise and an increase. I was talking with someone today about my chart because my temps have been all over and my O day keeps changing. Plus my cycles have never been this long like this before that I know of. But she suggested that I may have low progesterone because of all the temp fluctuations . Right now i am not apt in trying to change that sine I am trying to avoid but will chart and monitor the progress of my "healing" but yours look fairly good but maybe taking some vitex and maybe some progesterone cream might help you to even out your hormones and temps and you'll get a better pattern going!

I hope this is the month for you!

Thanks, Stephanie! I may just try that Vitex if I can get to the store to buy it.

No O yet. I'm wondering if it will be delayed this month because of stress. My mom was in the hospital and diagnosed as having a TIA ("mini-stroke") and Rapid Atrial Fibrillation (fast heart rate and irregular rhythm. Thankfully, she was just released and doing well. Lots of bad news lately (doctor I work with just had an massive MI, FIL is becoming confused after having had surgery to remove a cancerous mass in his esophagus-I fear metastasis of cancer to the brain, fellow nurses mom suddenly diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, etc, etc...it just goes on and on!!!). It's just so weird..such a bad month to TTC as we are both exhausted and stressed from all the happenings around us. We shall press on, though. Lets see what the next couple of weeks bring us.

Good luck with the progesterone. I hope it helps with the temp fluctuations!
