Cool thread for everybody

Ok i've got a cool new thread to start tonight. I was woundering what would be a very cool way of telling DH or your mom and dad that your PG. It's not my time yet but i've been trying to think of very cool ways of telling them when the time comes. DH will be with me when I find out of corse and my mom thinks that we don't need a baby right now so I was wanting a really cool way of telling her and my dad. I would like everybody's input on this one I think it would be something cool we would all get into.

HMMM, How about sending them a card in the mail. Like a congratualtion grandma and grandpa. Or buying a knick knack that says something reffering (sp?)to them becoming grandparents. Thats the way i always imagined i would like to be told. Like a surprise in a surprise. Just a thought!

I found this place online where you can buy colored M&Ms and have whatever written on them you wanted! My mom loves M&Ms so i was gonna get pink and blue ones and write congrats grandma on them and put them in a regular M&M bag!! Just to see the look on her face would be great then of course she would probaly cry!!! LOL!!!! Interesting topic by the way!!

Those are great ideas! When DH and I found out I was pregnant, it was Christmas time. I put tiny pair of knit baby booties in a box as a gift for my MIL. You should have seen the look on her face when she opened them!!! That was a big surprise! My in-laws were so happy :-). I think that I just told my parents. I couldn't wait that long to tell them...LOL

I bought a pair of bibs at Target...one says I Love Grandma and the other says I love Grandpa. When the time comes we're going to put them in a gift bag for each of my parents and have them open it

DH's parents live in Colorado, so they'll just be told over the phone

Oh and my best friends and I have been like sisters for the last 15 years...I'm an only child so I've already told her that she'll be my baby's honorary aunt Anyway, she loves to knit and has mentioned several times that she can't wait for me to get pregnant so that she can knit some stuff for a baby, so I decided that the way I'll tell her is I'll say I need her to start kitting me a baby blanket and some booties. See how long it'll take her to figure it out

Wow I love all those idea's I work in a bakery so I thought about buying 2 of the little baby cakes thats just for like 2 people and write on one Congrats. your going to be a grandma and on the other write congrats. your going to be a grandpa and give them to my mom and dad.

I've only done soemthing creative once and ti was to try and make the announcement a soft blow since my parents aren't thrilled that I have so many. LOL

It was when we found out we were pregnant with #4, and unfortunately at the time we were in transition and living with them at the time. We of course waited until we had a place of our own secured and such but it still didn't make the news any better for them.

I made up a couple cards with Something to the effects of 'You'll be in 7th Heaven when this little Baby Ruth or John is born!'

7Th was refering to their 7th grandchild and Baby Ruth was for the candy bar we attatched.

Needless to say we were basically scolded instead of rejoiced. Oh well.

With Kaden's I held off on telling family for as long as I could. My sister guessed at my prgnancy because I wasn't feeling well at one dinner with her and she was just a little to nosey and kept quessing at what was wrong and why I wasn't eating much (dang m/s) I only had to break down and tell my parents again when I found out that my dad was moving back in state and I didn't think him seeing me with a huge preg belly would help.

When and if I get pregnant again I will just simply announce it on my family's web site and just wait and see how long it take before they find it. This way I can also see how often they check the site out too, LOL. If a month passes then it be archived and it won't be my fault!
