Will being overweight effect clomid? I started my first cycle this month and I am taking 100 mg CD 2-6 and I have been reading a few things saying that if your overweight it wont work! So I am looking to see if there are any woman out there that CLOMID has worked for and if so how much overweight were you? I am starting to loose hope just when I think I am on the right track I find something that throws me off. Please HELP!!

Yes - It worked for me. I got pg with DS the first time I used it (I weighed about 215). When TTC #2 I took it for four months. It worked fine but I didn't get pg. I moved to Repronex and did 2 cycles of that before getting pg (I weigh about 250 now). Good luck to you! It can and does work!

My first cycle of Clomid worked... but ended in miscarriage... None of the other (even though everything else was timed and done perfectly) cycles worked. I prolly did abt 10 cycles in all.

Elizabeth-- what is Repronex? It's been a little over a year since we stopped TTC. We are back at it this month... Looking for tons of information!!!

I was told that if you ovulate then Clomid worked. So it works for me since I do get my ovulation every month, still not pregnant but my OB/GYN told me that it's working.

BTW, I'm 245lbs, so alot overweight.

I took it as an insentive to lose more weight not as another bump in the road.

I did not ovulate (supposedly) that is why I took Clomid... but you are right... you have to add in a HCG Trigger shot to induce ovulation. If you don't ovulate...then you just have a bunch of follies hiding out in your ovaries.

Hi there,
I took 3 rounds of Clomid 50 mg CD 5-9, and although I already O on my own, it made for a stronger O and lengthened my LP by 3-4 days (I had 10 day LP's previously). I have since moved onto Clomid 100 mg and hoping this dose results in a BFP . Good luck to you!
