Icon5 Accuponcture ?

We have been struggling with TTC for almost 4 years (August 1st will make it 4) and for no apparent reasons. I've been through all the tests and so has DH.

A friend was talking about accuponcture and TTC. SHe said that the results from that are just amazing. They also help when you take some meds like Clomid for the side effects.

So tomorow is my first treatment (second one on thursday) and I was wondering if any of you have tired it or knows someone who did.

See, all the information out there only talks about people for whom it worked...I want to know if it's a ''for sure method'' or not.

See, I've been using Clomid for 3 cycles now and nothing (this is actualy my 3rd term of 6 cycles of Clomid with nothing more than a m/c at 5weeks.).

I don't want to be negative but I also don't want to be blind. KWIM?

Hi Anick!

First I want to say that I am sorry for your loss. If there is one silver lining to that tragedy, it is that you were able to get pregnant once, and so there is hope that it can happen for you again.

I have not yet tried accupuncture, although I am considering it. I found a lot of info on the internet. I also read a lot about it over on the IVF boards. There are a number of women there who used it, and were successful. You might want to lurk over there and see what you can find.

Let us know how your treatments go. I'd really like to hear more about it!

Hugs,

I have not tried accupunture either. But I too have heard a lot of good things about it. I don't know how stressful your life is currently but if you have a lot of stress then maybe trying to reduce it would help?!

Re: Accuponcture ?

Ok, yesterday was my first treatment and it went great.

You end up with needles in your feet, arms, forehead and stomac. The ones in the stomac are twisted until you feel a little pinch. Then he has you relaxing under a heating lamp for about 20min...I was so relax that I just fell asleep. Then you get to flip to your stomac and have anothe 4 needles put in your lower back in your spine area, those are also twisted until you feel that little pinch, another 20min of relaxation and voila. You're cooked on both sides...LOL

I have totaly felt my O pain last night, which is great since it was the exact side that pinched the most when I had my treatment. Sure glad , we did'nt miss .

I have a second treatment tomorow, so crossing my fingers that this is a good sign for a bigger family soon.

So know the waiting game begins...good thing I'll be on holidays when it will be time to test...I'll be too busy to think about it all the time.

I've heard good things about accupuncture as a remedy for various things. It seems to work best when it's part of a whole system of changes like better diet, excercise, less stress. I think a lot of it is positive thinking that it will work. And if you felt O pains after the treatment, it looks like it works for you! You're on a CD where you certainly could be O'ing!

I had my second treatment yesterday. I have to say that my acupunsturist was happy to hear that I could absolutly tell that I had O'ed the night of my first treatment. Good thing he told me that I could be cramping last night since this treatment was to concentrate as much blood flow to the uterus to build a stronger lining wall. Wow, I though AF was t reer her ugly head way to early.

So now the waiting game beggins...that part I realy realy hate.

So my whole soul is crossing itself for us to get our little miracle.
