Icon5 What are your experiences?

With BF and pregnancy. How much did your milk dry up? I had not entered that into the equation. I am bit worried if I do get pregnant, since Gianpaolo BF 8 times a day.

Haven't you poas yet!!

I personally haven't had a problem, but then mine were toddlers who were about weaned anyway.

The rule is supposed to be it doesn't happen until you are about 5 months along, but some pp here have had it drop right away.

Some of the ladies here have nursed through the whole pregnancy. Hopefully they will respond with some good tips and experiences.

My supply did drop a little in the beginning, so I stopped pumping the 2 times I was while working. Xander was 15 months, so he wasn't taking any bm at those times anyways, so it was okay. Around 4 or 5 months, it turned to colostrum. He still continued to nurse though and was happy to have milk back after Hayden was born.

This is my main reason for me to wait at least 2 more months because I don't want to have to supplement. I don't think we'll have a problem w/Hayden, since he would eat food all the time if I let him, right now he gets very little once or twice a day and nurses about every 3 hours. I want him to nurse at least 2 years but with his personality, I have a feeling that he would wean before he should. He isn't like his brother and hates waiting for the milk to let down and he probably would get so frustrated and stop.

My supply dropped the first 2 times drastically, so much that I had to supplement right away. And was dry after the first 3 months completely. This time, I still have milk, but my supply dipped, and then stayed lower at 4 weeks, I supplemented b/c M was nursing 12 times a day, and was still cranky, but after I began to sup, I found that the food was not the reason, but my supply took a hit. He is still nursing 2-3 times a day, at 11+ months, but he also gets 2-3 4oz bottles.

I suggest making sure you keep up your water, I have the hardest time with water in the first 3 months
