Default Pregnant? Opinions please! URGENT!

Hi, I'm new here with a question...I am wondering if I could be pregnant!

I have been breastfeeding my son continuously since birth (June 2004) and have not gotten my period yet. Recently (over the past few days), my nipples have been very sore when he nurses on them, almost like they feel when they have been cracked and dry (but they aren't). It is only sore on my nipples, not my entire breast, but painful when he nurses. I have checked them, and they are not cracked or dry or bleeding or anything. I have also had tons and tons of cervical mucus. My cervical position is high. Can you offer any opinions? Could I be pregnant, or maybe just ovulating and about to get my period? Please let me know what you think!

Kim

Well, my first sign all 3 times was sore bb's nipples first, then the rest followed, but it can also be a sign of your cycle resuming as well. I would definately take a pg test to see Let us know what it says!

Kim! Hello stranger, can't believe your little boy is 1yo already - where does the time go?

Did you test? Could be the sign of an imminent AF, but you never know!

If I remember correctly my nipples got really sore when I O'd. It was the same feeling I got when he had first started nursing and wasn't latching on right (but at that point he was latching on correctly so I knew that wasn't it). Hopefully you will find out either way soon! Good luck!

Hi,
I am in the same boat. I have a 7 month old son who is exclusively bf. No solid food yet. I was using NFP to get pg with him. He's my 4th. WIth my last child, I didn't get PPAF until he was 16 months old. For the last 3 days I have had sore breasts. It hurts to carry my son.... Just wondering when to test. A bit nervous though.....

It sounds like it could be either pg or pending af. If af doesn't show soon, I would test. Let us know!
