If I were to use the Ovuscope (alog with charting), would it do any good? I'm wondering if the hormone that makes the "ferns" when you're ovulating is also prodused while Breastfeeding?

I've use the ovuscope a few times, and every time it goes back and forth. Sometimes it showes nothing, and other times it showes a lot of "ferns", and then other times it shoes a few but not a whole lot. Does the time of day matter? Or should I just wait a few hours after eating or drinking to do it?

I used one while TTC #2 and I would get different results. Sometimes it would fern other times only partially when I was fertile. I would always get no ferning though if I wasn't near my fertile period. I would always test first thing in the morning before brushing my teeth, eating, or drinking anything.

To me it wasn't really a good indicator, but it was kind of a fun thing to do just to see if it would fern.

My thoughts exactly! I would get really nice ferns around o time, but I also got them around af time. I did it first thing in the a.m., before eating or anything. Often I'd forget all about it and check it hours later.

So I guess I like using it along with the cm and cp and temping, just to have another indicator to add in to the mix.
