Liam Alexander has arrived (birth story & pics)

Well after weeks of anticipation labor finally began on Saturday evening (the 12th). LOL I ate an entire pineapple that afternoon so who knows if that was the trigger. (ha!) They were pretty far apart 20-25 min but they were very uncomfortable, enough to wake me from sleep. I woke up at about 8am to see DH off to work and they were coming consistently at 15 min apart so I called my Dr and she said to call back when they were 5 min apart. So DH went to work as he was only going in for a couple of hours. Finally by noon they were about 7 min apart. They were very uncomfortable with lots of pressure but they were quick so I wasn't sure if they were real!? So DH arrived home and by 2pm he had convinced me to call the Dr back, they were still about 6 min apart and quick and uncomfortable. The dr said come right in, so I called my mom to watch the boys and we arrived at the hospital a little before 3pm.
When I got there I walked right up to L&D and when my Dr saw me, she laughed & said I don't think your having a baby today, she thought I looked to calm and smiling, which surprisingly I was LOL I was just so excited to be there the pain didn't phase me.
So they had me change up from the waste down because I think they truly thought they'd be sending me home. I got up on the bed and my Dr examined me, her faced dropped and she said your between 6-7cm. I thought OMG I could not believe I felt that great at almost 7cm. So I was admitted shortly after 3pm. They did some labs, got an IV ready in case. At about 3:40 she came in ang broke my water. I decided to get off the bed and sit on the ball while leaning on pillows on the bed because I was having a lot of back pressure. I had 2 good CTX's while on the ball and then I asked her to check me again. I got on the bed and she said I was a stretchy 8cm, Once she examined me I got this god awful CTX and screamed so loud I thought I would break all the windows LOL, she examined me witht hat CTX which was awful and said your 10cm, you can push. It felt surrreal, like a dream it was happening so quickly.
I pushed 2 times and his head was out, they sat me up to look at it OMG! 2 more pushes and at 3:55pm she placed Liam right on me and OMG I just cried, he was wide eyed and looked right at me, it was so amazing! He looked so little and I thought I was going to have a 10 lb baby.
he was 7lbs 9oz. 20 3/4in. apgars were 9/9. He was very alert it was unbelievable.
It was a great, easy, and FAST delivery. I still can't believe he is here,I am just so in Love. Preston and Grant LOVE LOVE him. I feel on top of the world, it gets more amazing each time I give birth. DH and I both said, there is no way were ready to say we'll never have another. Liam has really made us feel so fufilled, It's WONDERFUL!!!!

He is a mix of Preston and Grant. He is not quite as dark as Grant , but not as fair as Preston. He is Middle of the road LOL but he looks a lot like mommy! He has daddy's feet lol
