As you all know, DH and I are TTC starting this month. My sweet P and I still have a very happy nursing relationship! I want so badly to continue nursing him for a while, even if we get preggo!! So, I am interested to hear if anyone has ever BF while pg or if anyone is. If so, how long did you continue?? Both our ped and ob have advised against this.........TIA!!

I am in the same boat. Even though I don't BF exclusively, I want to get pg. I am interested in what woman have to say.

With both Lance and Lauren I was BFing when I got PG. I only BF until around 3 months PG though. My OB advised against continuing because I had pre term labor with Logan and I didn't want to take the chance with my PGs. I have no idea how much I was producing...could have been very little or it could have been the same as before, but I have heard that your supply usually drops. If I had not had PTL with Logan I would have continued BF as long as they wanted to. Hopefully you can continue as long as your little one wants.

I answered you on the other board, but I'll say it here, too. I have breastfed through all my pregnancies except number 2 & 5. Usually wean about 3-4 months but did nurse over 7 months during pg number 6. I have had no problems except a small decline in supply initially and soreness. What reasons did your ped and ob give for weaning?
