Default Night waking at 15 1/2 months

Since returning to PA on Sunday, Grant has awoken for the past 3 nights and will be awake for about an hour and will take a sippy bottle of warm mile. FYI: one night there was a violent thunder and lightning storm that lasted 2 hours whereupon he stayed awake for those 2 hours and that was on Sunday night.

Question: should I do CIO after a small sippy bottle or just do a full-fledged CIO after checking on him or just do CIO without a check?

I would recommend giving Grant water at that time and then allow him to cio. I think warm milk could become something he would wake for. He may just be adjusting to the return to the normal routine, but water should suffice at his age, especially since he didn't wake for it before.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Kristen.

I went to bed early, so I also pm'd Rachel and she said she is going through something similar with Ryan. I was thinking along the lines of giving him some water, but like Ryan, Grant will not settle after he sees me - gets him more excited.

Rachel suggested not going in and letting him CIO.

He didn't awake until 3 a.m. and I let him CIO and I don't think it was long before he was back asleep and awoke at 6 a.m.

So - we're getting back on track, thank goodness.
