to sign? I've been doing a couple common ones for months, even though I know 6 months is the suggested start time. I'm just wondering when he'll start doing them back...

I signed with my first since she was born. She started waving hello to people right before she turned 6 months old but didn't sign other signs, like Milk, please, etc until she was 11 months old. She signs a lot more now and she's 19 months old. She also picks up signs now pretty fast.

I agree with Kara. While signing times differ, most of the experts say 9-12 months. Just remember that every child is different with their development. Some walk earlier and talk later. Others do everything first. Just be consistant.
