Found this in last month
Good Housekeeping and thought it was a great way to get your kids to cook with you. It's a website for kids called
www.spatulatta.com It was a given an award in excellence in food journalism and it features two sisters, Isabella 10 and Olivia 8 from Illinois. Every two weeks they post a new video that teaches kids how to cook an entire meal. Check it out with your kids and maybe you can get them interested in cooking a meal a week for the family from start to finish.

We want to send out our thoughts and prayers to Jacey from the June '06 board. She just lost her husband in a car accident last week. Our prayers and best wishes are with her and her kids.
And to one of our favorite board members, JavaJill. Her son Brandon gave up his struggle after his stroke and has passed away. Jill was enroute to another one of her son's side after a catastropic car accident when she was given the news. Thankfully Nick is doing better and will hopefully soon recovery fully. All our prayers and good wishes go out to Jill and her family in this time of grief and sadness yet joy at Nick's recovery. It would be great that if you have some money that you could spare for her, we are taking donations to help pay for funeral costs and money that it's taken to travel back and forth for both sons. Please PM Sarah, Bubbly_1, for information about donation money for JavaJill. Thank you.
Please join in our thoughts, prayers, and good wishes for our SK families

'Stumbling On Happiness' by Daniel Gilbert
A smart and funny book by a prominent Harvard psychologist, which uses groundbreaking research and (often hilarious) anecdotes to show us why we're so lousy at predicting what will make us happy - and what we can do about it.

We don't have an interim Community Director yet for Cooking Smart, so please contact any of the Community Directors here. We would be happy to help with any questions or problems you might have.

Here's a contact
list that you can use. I'm sure that someone will be named Community Director very soon and will be around all the time to help out. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there is something you need in the meantime.
