Steaks sound yummy, Jill.

Tonight we're having bourbon chicken, garlic angel hair pasta and green beans.

Nancy, for the info about crohn's disease. It sounds like you are doing much better with your symptoms. That's weird the doc didn't find any signs of crohn's when he removed part of your colon and bowel. So did they just "undiagnose" you after your surgery with no other explanation?

My dad is doing a little better. He'll be okay for a few weeks and then it will all of a sudden just hit him and he will be sick as a dog, throwing up, diarrhea (sp?) and severe stomach cramping. He just retired a few weeks ago and he's worried he won't be able to enjoy his retirement since he's always feeling crummy. He's been trying different foods and his doc told him to try to eat soft foods for now until he is officially diagnosed. He doesn't drink much alcohol, so that won't be a problem. I'll let him know about the warm, fresh breads. (I love fresh from the oven bread, I hope I never have problems with that, I'll die)

We might be able to use some gut friendly recipes down the road. I'll let you know. Thanks again !!!

either spaghetti and garlic toast or fish fillets with a veggie. Haven't decided yet

Sheri, pretty much that. Doctor Pearlman told DH that they couldn't find any signs of Crohn's. So did the ER Dr. at University of Colorado hospital. Go figure! But I did get to ride in a Lear Jet!! Even if I was strapped to a gurney at the time...
For your dad, just tell him to be paitent....maybe he could keep a food journal to kind of help him figure out what caused an attack. At least that way he could narrow it down a ways. I know it ain't easy or fun. But it will come in time. Some of my recipes include chili, sloppy joes, goulash and desserts. I was suprised to find some online, even!
They had me on T.P.N. a couple of times. Getting fed through a Groshong catherter isn't fun, but I could get the I.V. tubing set up faster than the nurses could after a bit

Jill, sorry I got a bit sidetracked here

Peace!
Nancy S.
