Default Traditional Holiday Sugar Cookies

Traditional Holiday Sugar Cookies
M, E, P, S, N

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup milk-free, soy-free margarine, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 T. water, 1 1/2 T. oil, 1 tsp. baking powder; mixed together
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions: In large bowl, combine confectioners sugar; margarine; vanilla extract; and water, oil, and baking powder mixture. Mix well. Stir in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Set aside. Divide dough in half. Place each half between two sheets of wax paper. Roll to 1/8-inch thick. Remove top sheet of wax paper. Cut into desired shapes using holiday cookie cutters. Transfer cookies from wax paper to prepared cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until edges are light brown. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Frost if desired.
