Cow's milk protein allergy We spent the last 3 days in the hospital because her protein, calcium and iron dropped so low. They did a colonoscopy and an endoscopy on her (15 months old) and found a lot of swelling, puss and irritation in her esophagus and small intestine. I originally took her to the doctor because she was waking up every morning with very swollen eyelids. The doctor did a CBC and they concluded that the swollen eyes were because her protein was so low. She is (was) a HUGE milk drinker and it was slowly eating up her intestines Thank god I took her when I did because I guess it would have just kept getting worse. We are now on a dairy free/beef free diet and I need as much help as I can get. If anyone can give me any advice, tips, recipes - whatever, I will take it. Also, I don't know if there is a specific board out there for this type of allergy, but if anyone knows of one, I would appreciate being pointed in that direction.
