I love hummus! share your fav hummus recipe


1 can chickpeas
1/4 cup tahini
half lemon squeezed
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp olive oil

combine all in a food processor and enjoy
sometimes I add water if I need to get the consitancy a little creamier.

My favorite recipe is going to this middle-eastern restaurant and picking some up! They really make it great there - nice and smooth. I can't seem to get the same consistency.

They aren't many middle eastern restaurants near here sadly. Just the supermarket and I make it better than there hummus.

I do it pretty much the same way (are chickpeas the same as garbanzo beans? I use garbanzo beans) except I use real garlic and I dont use cumin. I'll have to try it with cumin.
